Are You Ready to Join Our Team?
As a firefighter/emergency medical technician, you can serve the public by responding to many challenging emergency situations. You will be tasked to perform in a demanding environment that will challenge you both physically and mentally – are you ready for the challenge? Santa Clara-Ivins firefighters are responsible for mitigating emergencies in an area that spans nearly 500 square miles. Being a firefighter is not just an exciting job, but a career that will allow you to become a part of American firefighting history that spans hundreds of years beginning in the colonial era. This means you will begin your journey of networking and career growth not only locally here in Utah, but you will have the opportunity to network nationally with other fire departments and government agencies like the FBI & National Fire Protection Association (NFPA). Your path begins here, but where the journey ends, is up to your willingness and motivation!
As a career firefighter, you will also have the opportunity to earn up to $73,582.63 a year, not including constant staffing opportunities. Additional benefits like city-paid health, dental, and vision care for you and your family, URS Public Safety Retirement, city matching 401K, health & wellness screening, uniform allowance, and special pay opportunities provide long-term stability.
