In accordance with the Utah Emergency Medical Services Systems Act, Chapter 8a, Title 26, of the Utah Code, Dr. Robert Foster provides oversight for the Santa Clara-Ivins Rescue to provide basic through advanced lifesaving emergency medical care to residents and visitors of Santa Clara, Ivins & portions of Washington County.  Internally, our department’s emergency medical services program is managed by EMS Director/Firefighter Paramedic, Ryan Moore.

Our firefighters are trained to administer medications and perform skills like cardiac defibrillation, intubation and IV therapy to aid our patient’s suffering from a variety of medical ailments including pain management due to traumatic injuries, cardiac dysrhythmias, diabetic complications, breathing disorders, strokes, heart attacks, pregnancy complications and a variety of other medical emergencies.  Firefighters also provide continuation of care through emergency transportation to hospitals via our two medic ambulances.  All providers are required to be Nationally Registered and recertify every two years through rigorous continuing education.  Our service partners also include Gold Cross Ambulance, Intermountain Life Flight and Air Methods Mercy Air 11 out of Mesquite Nevada.
