Santa Clara-Ivins Fire Rescue deploys Drone 31 for large-scale & complex incidents that require, search & reconnaissance, thermal imaging, and communication with victims, to enhance rescue and firefighting operations. The Unmanned Ariel System (UAS) is FAA certified and is flown and operated by personnel at the location of the incident. Drone 31 enhances fire ground situational awareness for incident commanders and improves firefighter safety through thermal analysis of fire flow-path by providing a real-time overall picture of the emergency incident. Additional capabilities and features to our drone program include the minimal cost associated with Drone 31’s battery powered platform, reducing the need for complicated aerial devices to capture a clear overhead pictures of city systems and facilities.
